Mock Trial is a simulated courtroom experience where students take on the role of attorneys and witnesses in a fictional court case. The UMass Lowell Pre-Law Society was formed and recognized as an official student organization in 2006.

Texas Tech Law sponsored a reception following Austin College’s inaugural undergraduate invitational mock-trial tournament. Dean Darby Dickerson, Professors Rob Sherwin (’01) and Brie Sherwin (’01), and Austin College graduate and Texas Tech Law alumnus Neal Spradlin (’13) of the Lubbock County District Attorney’s Office served as judges for the mock trial tournament.
Mock trial is also the name of an extracurricular program in which students participate in rehearsed trials to learn about the legal system in a competitive manner. Interscholastic mock trials take place on all levels including primary school, middle school, high school, college, and law school.
eJury is devoted to educating attorneys about the benefits of the Internet and the use of online mock juries and focus groups. eJury's Christopher L. Bagby is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars, and has also performed many private presentations to large law firms and litigation groups.
The Mock Trial Competition is open to all public and private secondary schools in Utah. Each year, more than 1,000 students, 80 teachers, 350 attorneys, and 100 community representatives participate in over 110 mock trials statewide.
